Subscription Tiers

Access our Libraries through Cargo anytime, all you need is an active subscription.

Subscribers have a license to use KitBash3D and Greyscalegorilla assets* in their Larger Works they create while their subscription is active.

*"Assets" are defined as any digital content or data obtained through the platforms, including 3D models, meshes, textures, materials, scripts, blueprints, and animations, all of which remain the exclusive intellectual property of KitBash or its licensors.

Usage Rights

For subscriptions, KitBash has two usage rights tiers based on the size of your entity.
(For Kits Usage Rights tiers, see Kit and Subscription Licensing)

An entity's Usage Tier is determined by its total number of employees, owners, or contractors, not just the number of users accessing the assets.
KitBash3D reserves the right to verify company size and enforce proper licensing

Important: Organizations of two or more people are not permitted to use Individual plans, regardless of how many users actually need access to the assets.

FAQ

What can I use Cargo asset for?

✔ Use in Commercial Projects – Films, games, VR/AR, marketing, and more

✔ Modify & Customize – Re-texture, edit, and integrate into their own original works

✔ Use in Unlimited Projects – If you have an active subscription OR if you've purchased a Kit

✔ Share Within Your Licensed Team – Teams subscription holders can distribute assets to their licensed employees

✔ Publish & Monetize Your Work – Sell finished films, games, and creative projects that include KitBash3D assets

Usage restrictions:

❌ Resell or Redistribute Assets – You can’t share, resell, or distribute standalone assets

❌ Use After Subscription Ends – If a subscription subscription expires, assets can’t be used in new projects

❌ Train AI or Machine Learning Models – assets cannot be used for AI training or neural networks

❌ Use the Wrong License Tier – If a company (or employee of a company) selects a license below their actual size, it is invalid

❌ Claim the Assets as Your Own – While you can modify and incorporate assets into their projects, you can’t claim ownership over the original assets

I’m the only employee at my company that needs access to the assets, can I use the Individual Usage Rights?

No. The Individual usage rights are only available for those working independently (self-employed) and not part of an entity with more than one employee.

If you’re at an organization that employs more than yourself as an employee, you must purchase the Teams License regardless of how many users need access.

Please note that while the entry Teams tier offers access to up 4 users, this tier is mandatory for any multi-person entity to ensure you have the correct legal usage rights for your projects.

Do I lose rights to the things I made with my subscription if I cancel my subscription?

No. Canceling your subscription has no effect on the rights of works you have created while subscribed.

During your subscription you are granted a license to use assets from Cargo in any Larger Work.

A Larger Work is the final creative project that incorporates KitBash (Greyscalegorilla) products as part of a broader composition.

What Happens When My Subscription Ends?

  • You Keep What You Made: Any "Larger Work", such as a rendered image, a finished video, or an interactive experience, that you created while your subscription was active is yours to keep using and displaying forever.

  • No New Projects: Once your subscription expires, you no longer have the right to access or use the Assets for new projects.

  • The "Properly Incorporated" Rule: To stay protected, the Assets must have been "properly incorporated" into your work, meaning your project must include "substantial additional content" beyond just our 3D models.

  • Standalone Assets: You cannot continue to use the raw, standalone Assets (the meshes, textures, or scripts) outside of the specific projects you finished during your subscription period.

  • Always check your specific "Usage Rights" at the time of purchase.

Section 3.2.2

"The Assets may be used by you as part of your Larger Works. You acknowledge and agree that Larger Works must include substantial additional content and/or imagery in addition to the Assets. Furthermore, depending on your Usage Rights, the Asset may only be used in the Larger Work for which it was originally imported from the Platform; other Usage Rights may permit the removal of an Asset from the original Larger Work to a new or different Larger Work."

Section 3.2.3 (a)
"If your Usage Rights provide for a Subscription, you are not permitted to access or use the Assets following the expiration of the Term. Similarly, if your Usage Rights permit the use of an Asset only for a limited period of time, then you are not permitted to access or use the Asset following the expiration of the limited period of time. However, in each case, to the extent the Asset was properly incorporated as part of a Larger Work pursuant to this Agreement, you may, following the Term or the limited period of time, continue to use and display the Asset as part of the Larger Work in the same manner in which the Asset was initially incorporated as part of the Larger Work."

Section 6.3.1 (a)

"With respect to the Assets downloaded, imported or otherwise obtained during the term of a Subscription, then upon the termination of this Agreement, you will have no further rights to access and/or use the Assets except as set forth in Section 3.2.3 above."

Can I continue to use downloaded KitBash Assets in new scenes after my subscription ends?
