You have the choice to access our assets by purchasing a License for a Kit from our website, subscribing to our Libraries or both, depending on your needs.

Kits

A Kit purchased from kitbash3d.com (also referred to as a Single Purchase or Perpetual License) is a one-time transaction that grants a License to use specific KitBash3D Assets indefinitely.

Customers who purchase a Kit from our website can continue using those specific Assets in new projects under the terms of the License.

  • Lasting Access: A Kit Purchase provides lasting access to the selected assets—you can download and use them at any time via Cargo.

  • Perpetual Use: Kit purchases are granted continued use of those assets indefinitely. Kit licenses do not expire unless terminated for a material breach.

  • License, Not Ownership: A Kit Purchase grants a License, not ownership—you do not own the original assets but have the right to use them in your creative projects (Larger Works).

  • Usage in Larger Works: Assets must be incorporated into Larger Works that include substantial additional content; you cannot resell or redistribute the raw assets.

Kit Usage Rights

Usage rights are the legal permission KitBash grants you to use our products in your projects (aka Larger Works).
These rights determine who can use the assets, for how long, and how they may be delivered to third parties.

  • Compliance: Every user or business must select the correct Usage Rights based on their entity size to ensure compliance with the EULA.

  • Determination: Your Usage Rights are determined by the total number of employees of your entity (including all entities under common control), not just the number of active users.

Subscriptions (Everything Bundle & Libraries)

When you subscribe to a KitBash3D plan, you are granted access to Assets in Cargo while the subscription is active. You can choose between the Everything Bundle (all KitBash3D and Greyscalegorilla assets) or individual Library subscriptions.

  • Active Term License: Our subscriptions provide a License to our assets during the active Term. They do not grant ownership.

  • Renewal Requirements: Subscriptions must be renewed to maintain an active License to use assets in new Larger Works.

  • Post-Subscription Access: Once a subscription expires, you will no longer have download access in Cargo and are no longer licensed to use those assets in new projects.

  • Legacy Licensing: Any Assets already incorporated into Larger Works during an active subscription remain properly licensed even after the subscription ends.

  • AI Restriction: Assets obtained via any subscription may not be used as inputs to train, or otherwise be processed by, any artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
