How to create an account, sign in and troubleshoot issues when signing in to Cargo

It's free to install Cargo on your computer and import free assets into your 3D software.

If you're new to Cargo

To use Cargo, first you'll need to install the Cargo application on your computer.

  • If you're new to KitBash3D.com, you'll be asked to create an account before downloading the app to install.

  • If you've been with us before and purchased Kits or created an account, please sign in with this email address when downloading the Cargo application to install.

If you already have a KitBash3D account

If you already have an account with KitBash3D.com, please use your KitBash3D account email address when downloading Cargo and/or purchasing a Cargo subscription

If you've purchased a Cargo subscription

If you've purchased a Cargo subscription before installing Cargo on your device, please follow the steps to download and install Cargo.

When prompted to Sign In before downloading, please use the same email address you used for your Cargo subscription payment.

After installation, you must sign into Cargo with the same email address used for your Cargo subscription payment.


Creating an Account: Sign Up

If you already have a KitBash3D.com account, no need to create another account for Cargo, you can use the same email address when prompted to sign in.

  1. Install the Cargo application on your computer by clicking Download Cargo from top right of KitBash3D.com.
    Before you can download the Cargo application file, you'll be asked to Sign in or Sign Up.

2. Sign in or Sign up to download and install Cargo.

New to Cargo and KitBash3d?

Click Sign Up and complete all fields to create an account.

Returning to KitBash3D?

Sign In using the email address that you've used on KitBash3D.com

Password Requirements

  • 8 - 15 characters

  • Includes at least 1 capital letter

  • Includes at least 1 number or symbol

  • Does not include common words. Examples: Password, ABC123, NewLogin, etc

3. Check your email for a verification code (for newly created accounts only)

Subject: Cargo Verification Code

If you do not receive an email within 2 minutes, search all filtered inbox folders and use the search feature within your inbox.

In Gmail, these emails tend to show up in your Promotions folder.

Codes expire after 30 minutes from the time they're requested.

Enter the code from the email into the Verify Email page and click confirm.

4. Install the Cargo application on your device

Cargo is a desktop-based application available on Windows and macOS* devices.
Additionally, the following system requirements apply:

Windows

  • PC running Windows Operating System 10 or later

  • Minimum internet connection speed is 20mb/s

  • Minimum 15 GB free disk space per Kit

  • CPU: 6 Core Processor

  • GPU: 8gb of VRAM

  • RAM: 32gb

  • Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Mac (Beta)

  • Mac running OS11 Big Sur or later

  • Minimum internet connection speed is 20mb/s

  • Minimum 15GB free disk space per Kit

  • CPU/GPU: Apple M1 Pro 16

  • RAM: 32GB unified memory

Cargo does not support Intel-based Mac computers.

Sign In / Sign Out

If you're experiencing an issue signing into Cargo using your existing KitBash3D password, try resetting your password in Cargo following the password requirements. This will be your new password for Cargo and your KitBash3D.com account.

Open the Cargo desktop application.
Enter the email address from your newly created KitBash3D account or the email address you've used to purchase Kits from KitBash3D.com.

Password Reset/Change Password

  1. If you need to reset your password, click Forgot Password? link.

2. Check your email for a verification code.

If you do not receive the email within 2 minutes, search all filtered inbox folders and use the search field within your inbox.

In Gmail, these emails tend to show up in your Promotions folder.

Codes expire after 30 minutes from the time they're requested. Enter the code from the email into the Confirm Email page and click continue.

3. Alternatively, you can change your password from the Account Settings Page when you're signed in.

  1. Navigate to your Account Settings from the Left Navigation menu

  2. Within User Details, click “Change Password”

  3. Enter your new password and click “Save”.

Sign Out

To Sign Out of Cargo, navigate to your Account Settings, and click “Sign Out” at the top right of your screen.



Existing KitBash3D Accounts

If you already have an existing KitBash3D account, you can Sign In to Cargo using the same email address and password.

You will be asked to reset your password on the first login to ensure it complies with Cargo’s Password requirements.

  • 8 - 15 characters

  • Includes at least 1 capital letter

  • Includes at least 1 number or symbol

  • Does not include common words. Examples: Password, ABC123, NewLogin, etc

Once you are signed in, you will see any Kits purchased from KitBash3d.com unlocked on your Kits Page.

Please note: you cannot view your Cargo subscription from KitBash3D.com/account.

Cargo subscription and billing details can be viewed by logging into the Cargo application and navigating to the ACCOUNT menu.

Google and Shop Pay Sign In

If you already have an existing KitBash3D account, and use Google or Shop Pay to sign in without a password, you can Sign In to Cargo by clicking “Forgot Password?” to verify your email and set a new password for Cargo.


Troubleshooting Help

I can't sign into KitBash3D.com

Why am I instructed to reset my KitBash3D account password when I try to sign in?

We made some big changes to our website when we introduced our new asset browser, Cargo.

If it's the first time you're signing into your KitBash3D account since we launched Cargo, you will need to verify your email and update your password. This is a one-time requirement due to the recent updates on the website.

I didn't receive a verification code or password reset code email

If you're not seeing the verification code or password reset code email in your inbox, please check your Spam, Promotions and Updates sections. The email will be from info@kitbash3d.com, subject line: Your Cargo Password Reset Code.

Keep in mind that if you have requested multiple password reset codes concurrently, only the code within the most recent time stamped email will be valid.

If you're still having trouble accessing your account, please email us at info@KitBash3D.com from the email linked to your KitBash3D account.

I can't sign into Cargo

Cargo Sign-In Page is Unresponsive

If you are experiencing any of the issues listed below, this could be an issue related to your VPN, network security, or firewall settings or if you're using an outdated version of Cargo.

First, ensure that you're using the most up to date version of Cargo. The version is shown in the top left of the Cargo application.

Signs of a Network Security or Firewall Issue

  • Unable to successfully sign into Cargo, but can successfully sign into KitBash3D.com

  • The sign-in button in Cargo is grayed out and appears to be unresponsive or frozen

  • Unable to successfully reset password in Cargo—the Save button is grayed out and unresponsive.

  • No error messages pop up when attempting to sign in.

Windows Defender

Since most Windows OS devices come with Defender, please check the permissions settings in Defender if you're experiencing an unresponsive Cargo sign in screen.

Navigate to Windows Defender Firewall settings in the Control Panel or by searching in the Windows search bar

  • Check whether you are currently connected to "Private networks" or "Guest or public networks"

  • Click on "Advanced settings" in the left-hand menu

  • Check whether Outbound connections are currently allowed for the type of network you're currently on (Private or Guest/Public)

  • If needed, change that setting by clicking on Windows Defender Firewall Properties and changing "Block" to "Allow (default)" for Outbound connections, then click Apply
