Cargo 3.0 is a desktop-based application available for Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon) computers.

KitBash3D Asset Support (Models)

Optimized for USD-native workflows and 1-click "Send to Software" functionality

Blender: Cargo supports Blender downloaded from blender.org only.

Unreal Engine: Cargo supports official Epic Games Launcher versions only (v5.2 - 5.7). Source-built versions are not currently supported.

3ds Max: 3ds Max is fully supported using our legacy plugin workflow. Our team is hard at work on a USD-native update, stay tuned for an even faster integration coming shortly.

Unity: Unity is not currently a supported target software in Cargo 3.0. For more information on this transition, please refer to our Unity Support FAQ.

Windows system requirements

  • PC running Windows Operating System 10 or later

  • Minimum internet connection speed is 20mb/s

  • Minimum 15GB free disk space per Kit

  • CPU: 6 Core Processor

  • GPU: 8GB of VRAM

  • RAM: 32GB

  • Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Mac System Requirements

  • Mac running OS11 Big Sur or later

  • Minimum internet connection speed is 20mb/s

  • Minimum 15GB free disk space per Kit

  • CPU/GPU: Apple M1 Pro 16

  • RAM: 32GB unified memory

Cargo does not support Intel-based Mac computers.

The above system requirements are the minimum to get Cargo up and running with some great assets to start building your world.

However, as scenes are created and more assets are imported, your machine capabilities may become a limiting factor to the ambitions of the project. That is why we offer multiple download options for texture sizes and resolutions and indicate the size of each asset before download and importing.

It is always best practice to understand the tools and methods to optimize your scene in order to get the most out of your chosen software and projects.
