Creating a Collection
Hover over Collections in the sidebar and click the + button, or open the Collections page and click New collection.
In the New Collection dialog, type a name and optionally click the emoji button to give the collection an emoji. Click Create, and Cargo opens your new collection.
You can also create a collection on the fly while saving an asset, see the next section.
Saving assets to a Collection
Hover over any asset card and click the bookmark icon in its top-right corner (Save to collection). The same bookmark button appears when you open an asset.
A small panel opens with your collections:
Tick a collection to add the asset to it. You can add the same asset to several collections — the panel stays open while you do.
Type in the Find or create a collection... field to filter the list — or type a new name and click Create collection to create it and save the asset into it in one step.
Once an asset is saved to at least one collection, its bookmark stays filled in, so you can spot your saved assets anywhere in Cargo. To see or change which collections it's in, click the bookmark again (Edit collections).
Removing assets from a Collection
Open the collection, hover over the asset, and click the trash icon in its top-right corner (Remove from collection). The asset leaves the collection right away.
You can also untick a collection in the bookmark panel from anywhere in the app.
Renaming a Collection
Hover over a collection in the sidebar or on the Collections page, click the ⋯ options menu, and choose Rename. Change the name or emoji, then click Save.
Inside a collection, you can also just click the collection's name at the top of the page and edit it in place.
Deleting a Collection
Open the ⋯ options menu and choose Delete, then confirm. Deleting a collection removes only the collection itself.
Your downloads and the original assets aren't affected.
Coming from Greyscalegorilla Studio?
If you used Favorites and Playlists in Greyscalegorilla Studio, you can bring them into Cargo as Collections.
