Updated this week

Starting the week of February 23rd, KitBash3D will be upgrading to a new authentication system. As part of this security enhancement, all existing user passwords will be automatically expired.

We want to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible for you. Below is everything you need to know about what to expect and how to regain access to your account.

What to Expect

When you attempt to log in to your account after the update, your current password will no longer be active.

Once you click “Send Reset Link” you will receive an automated email from our system to help you set a new, secure password.

Note: Emails will arrive from the kitbash.com domain. Please rest assured these are official KitBash3D communications.

How to Reset Your Password

  1. Click button: “Send Reset Link”
Once you’ve received the Password Expired message, click the button on this page.

2. After clicking the button, you’ll be shown the screen below.

3. Check Your Email: You will instantly receive a Verify Email or Reset Password notification.

  • Account access emails use the domain "kitbash3d.com". Use this as a search term in your inbox if you're unable to locate the email.

    • Password reset: sent from access@kitbash3d.com

      • You'll receive a Reset your password link if you've previously logged into kitbash3d.com or Cargo.

    • Verify Email Address: sent from welcome@kitbash3d.com

      • You'll receive an Email Verification code if you're accessing your KitBash3D account or Cargo for the first time.

4. Click the button within the email to be directed to our secure password setup page.

5. Set Your New Password. On the "Set Your Password" screen, you will be prompted to enter a new password.

To keep your account secure, our new system checks for password strength and common security vulnerabilities.

Password Requirements

  • Passwords must be at least 10 characters long.

  • For your protection, we block passwords that have appeared in known public data breaches.

  • Your password cannot be the same as your email address.

  • Ensure you are using a unique combination of characters.

6. All set! You can now log into kitbash3d.com and Cargo with your new password.

Don’t forget to update password managers you are utilizing.

Common Error Messages

If your chosen password doesn't meet the new security requirements, you may see one of the following alerts:

  • Password too short: Passwords must be at least 10 characters long.

  • Password found in security breaches: For your protection, we block passwords that have appeared in known public data breaches (pwned).

  • Password matches Email: Your password cannot be the same as your email address.

  • Password not strong enough: Ensure you are using a unique combination of characters.

FAQ

I didn’t receive the reset email. What should I do?

1. Check your Updates/Promotions/Spam folders.

2. Look for an email from access@kitbash3d.com or welcome@kitbash3d.com

3. Wait 5 minutes and try clicking "Send Reset Link" again.

4. If you still haven’t received it, please contact our support team by emailing info@kitbash3d.com from the account email address you’re using.

The reset link says it is expired.

For security reasons, reset links are only active for a short window (15 minutes). If yours has expired, simply return to the login page and request a new one.

When accessing the new email, ensure you’re only accessing the email with the most recent timestamp

Why am I getting an error that my password was "found in a security breach"?

Our new system uses a password check. If your chosen password has appeared in a known public data breach elsewhere on the internet, our system will block it to keep your KitBash3D account safe. Please choose a unique password you haven't used on other sites.

Why is my password being reset?

We are upgrading to a more robust authentication system for KitBash3D and Cargo. As part of this migration, all existing passwords must be reset to ensure they meet our new, higher security standards.

Is my account at risk?

No. This is a proactive security measure, not a response to a security breach. We are implementing these changes to provide a more seamless login experience across all KitBash3D platforms.

When exactly will this happen?

Starting the week of Monday, February 23rd, you will notice the change when you try to log in on or after that date.
