How to identify and resolve issues after updating to Cargo 2.1

We're aware of a few issues that may be blocking you from successfully importing assets into your 3D software after the recent Cargo updates for Windows and macOS.

This guide outlines known bugs, how to identify them and potential resolutions.

We understand this can be an interruption in your workflow and we sincerely appreciate your patience as we get this fixed. We'll keep this article up to date as our team deploys a fix.


New Whitelist Domains

To make sure Cargo works on your network, you’ll need to whitelist Cargo domains within your internal network security systems:

  1. kitbash3d-api.com

  2. *.kitbash3d-api.com

  3. kitbashengineering.com

  4. *.kitbashengineering.com


Plugin Update Required

If you've run into this message, do not have your 3D software running and cannot click Update Plugins, follow the below steps to reset your Cargo application settings.

Windows

  1. In Windows File Explorer, navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\kitbash3d

  2. Delete the entire kitbash3d folder

  3. Restart your computer, router, and modem

  4. Log into Cargo

  5. In Cargo Account settings, go through Software Setup again - choosing your 3D software from the menu

  6. Enable/Turn on the Cargo plugin within your 3D software (See guides for each DCC HERE)

macOS

  1. on macOS use Cmd + Shift + G

  2. Enter path /users/YOURNAME/.kitbash3d

  3. Delete the contents of the .kitbash3d folder

  4. Restart your computer, router, and modem

  5. Log into Cargo

  6. In Cargo Account settings, go through Software Setup again - choosing your 3D software from the menu

  7. Enable/Turn on the Cargo plugin within your 3D software (See guides for each DCC HERE)


White Screen after opening Cargo: Application Error

If you encounter this screen after launching Cargo, please exit Cargo and restart your computer.

This is related to a cache issue and once your device restarts, you'll be able to log into the updated version of Cargo.
